[和訳] Green Green Grass-George Ezra

今回はイギリス出身のシンガーソングライター、George EzraのGreen Green Grassを和訳していきます。George Ezraの3枚目のアルバム「Gold Rush Kid」の2曲目のシングルとして2022年4月22日にリリースされました。この曲はイギリスのシングルチャートでトップ3にランクインするなど人気の楽曲です。

また日本でもこの曲はTik Tokでも人気の楽曲なので耳にしたことがある人も多いと思います！

set the world on fire/大成功を収める。なにか特別なことを成し遂げるときとかに使います！

*誤訳の可能性あり。この歌詞の内容的にset-on fire/放火するという意味のほうで使われている可能性もあるかなと思いました、、、

とてもポップな曲調でありながら、歌詞は意外と死ぬときのことについて歌っていて面白いですね。悔いの無いように生きて死ぬときは楽しくお別れしようみたいな価値観なんですかね？死ぬときは暗く静かにしんみりとお別れするより、みんなでわいわい思い出話でも話しながらお別れしたいですよね！個人的にはそんな風に受け止めました！
